  • Stepping Into New Opportunities with an Open Heart

Life has a wonderful way of placing opportunities in front of us when we least expect them. Sometimes they arrive with great excitement. Other times they show up quietly, almost whispering, asking us if we are ready to take the next step.

The interesting part is that recognizing an opportunity is only the beginning. The real journey begins when we decide whether we are willing to step through the door.

If I’m being honest, tomorrow is one of those moments for me. I’ll be participating in a community event, sharing Reiki with people who may have never experienced it before. I am excited, grateful, and yes… a little nervous. Those feelings can all exist together. They don’t cancel each other out. They simply remind me that I care about what I’m doing.

How many times have we talked ourselves out of something because we weren’t completely confident? How many beautiful experiences have we postponed because we wanted to feel “ready” first?

Spirit often doesn’t ask us to be fearless. Instead, Spirit asks us to be willing.

When we quiet our minds through meditation, prayer, Reiki, or simply spending a few peaceful moments in nature, we begin to hear our intuition more clearly. That gentle inner voice helps us recognize which opportunities are aligned with our highest good and which ones are simply distractions. Not every open door is meant for us, and that’s perfectly okay.

Learning to trust that inner guidance is part of our spiritual growth.

Sometimes an opportunity will stretch us beyond our comfort zone. Growth usually does. Like a seed pushing through the soil toward the sunlight, we often have to move through a little discomfort before we can fully bloom.

As you move through the coming days, I invite you to ask yourself a few gentle questions.

What opportunity has been quietly calling to me?

Am I saying no because it truly isn’t right for me, or because fear is speaking louder than my intuition?

What small step could I take today that moves me closer to where my heart wants to be?

Remember, every journey begins with one step. Every new friendship starts with one conversation. Every dream begins with someone believing that it is possible.

Whether your opportunity involves starting a new career, learning a new skill, healing old wounds, deepening your spiritual practice, or simply saying yes to something that brings you joy, trust that you have been given the wisdom to discern what is meant for you.

The universe has a remarkable way of meeting us halfway once we decide to move forward with faith instead of fear.

As I prepare for tomorrow’s event, I will be reminding myself of something I hope encourages you as well:

We don’t have to know exactly where the path leads before taking the first step. Sometimes the next step is all Spirit asks of us.

May you recognize the opportunities that resonate with your soul, have the courage to embrace the ones that are meant for you, and the wisdom to gently walk away from those that are not.

Wishing you a peaceful, blessed, and opportunity-filled weekend.

    With love and light,

  • When Your Soul Whispers, “It’s Time to Rest”

Some weeks seem to fly by, while others feel as though they ask for every ounce of our energy. This week has been one of those weeks for me.

Like many of you, I’ve been balancing volunteer work, family, home responsibilities, and all of the little things that make up everyday life. They are all blessings, but even blessings can leave us feeling tired when we don’t take time to refill our own cup.

Earlier this week, we welcomed the New Moon—a beautiful reminder that every new cycle begins quietly. Seeds are planted in stillness long before they bloom. As we move toward the Full Moon later this month, I find myself thinking less about doing and more about simply being.

If I could choose anywhere to be today, I think it would be on a peaceful spiritual retreat. Somewhere surrounded by nature, with birds singing in the distance, a gentle breeze rustling through the trees, a candle glowing nearby, and an endless supply of iced coffee within reach. A place where the clock doesn’t matter, where the to-do list disappears, and where my soul has permission to simply breathe.

Of course, most of us can’t pack our bags and disappear for a week whenever life becomes overwhelming. But perhaps we can create our own little retreat, even if it’s only for fifteen or twenty minutes.

Maybe it’s sitting quietly with a favorite cup of coffee. Maybe it’s stepping outside and listening to the wind. Maybe it’s a Reiki session, a guided meditation, a prayer, journaling, or simply closing your eyes and allowing yourself to rest without feeling guilty.

    Rest is not laziness.

    Rest is part of healing.

Our spirits need moments of stillness just as much as our bodies do. When we continually push ourselves without pausing, we begin to lose touch with the quiet inner voice that gently guides us.

As empaths and caregivers, we often spend so much time supporting others that we forget we deserve the same kindness we so freely give away. Today, I invite you—and myself—to practice a little self-compassion.

You don’t have to accomplish everything today.

You don’t have to carry every burden alone.

You don’t have to earn your rest.

As the energy of the Moon continues to build over the coming days, perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to release the pressure we place on ourselves and make room for a little more peace.

So today, I’m giving myself permission to slow down whenever I can, enjoy another glass of iced coffee, smile at the simple moments, and remember that caring for my own spirit allows me to better care for everyone else.

Maybe that’s exactly what we all need.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend filled with quiet moments, gentle blessings, and just enough time to hear what your own soul has been trying to tell you.

Be gentle with yourself. You are doing better than you think. May your weekend include peaceful moments, a comforting cup of coffee, a softly glowing candle, our beloved fur babies nearby, and the gentle reminder that sometimes the most productive thing we can do is simply rest.

  • When Your Soul Needs to Play

Life has a funny way of convincing us that we always have to be serious.

There are bills to pay, responsibilities to meet, schedules to keep, and countless things asking for our attention. Before we know it, we forget what it feels like to simply smile for no reason at all.

Then, every once in a while, something unexpected happens. We hear a child laughing uncontrollably. A dog starts zooming around the yard for absolutely no reason. We remember an old joke that still makes us chuckle decades later. Suddenly, for just a moment, our shoulders relax, our hearts feel lighter, and the world doesn’t seem quite so heavy.

    That little moment matters.

Many spiritual traditions teach us the importance of meditation, mindfulness, gratitude, and inner peace. Those practices are beautiful and powerful. But I also believe there is another form of healing that doesn’t get enough attention.

    Laughter.

Laughter is a wonderful form of medicine for the soul. It reminds us that even in difficult times, joy still exists. It doesn’t erase our challenges, but it gives us enough light to face them with a little more strength and a little more hope.

Our inner child knows this instinctively.

As children, we could spend hours imagining adventures, finding shapes in the clouds, laughing until our stomachs hurt, or turning an ordinary cardboard box into a castle. We weren’t worried about looking silly. We simply enjoyed the moment.

Somewhere along the way, many of us tucked that playful spirit away.

Maybe today is a good day to invite it back.

Watch a funny movie. Tell a corny joke. Dance around your kitchen while no one is watching. Spend time with your pets and let their happiness become contagious. Color a picture. Blow bubbles. Listen to music that makes your heart sing. Do something that reminds you it is perfectly okay to enjoy life.

The universe doesn’t expect us to carry the weight of the world every single day.

Sometimes our spirit needs a deep breath.
    Sometimes it needs quiet meditation.
    And sometimes…

It simply needs a good laugh.

As you move through this weekend, give yourself permission to smile a little more often. Nurture your inner child with kindness, curiosity, and joy. You may discover that the laughter you thought you had lost was waiting patiently inside you all along.

May your heart be light, your spirit be joyful, and your soul remember that healing doesn’t always arrive in silence. Sometimes it arrives with a giggle.

Wishing you a peaceful, playful, and blessed weekend.

    With love and light,

    Tammy Robbins

  • Trusting the Timing of Change

First, I want to offer my heartfelt apologies for my absence from sharing these reflections. Many of you have followed along with me for quite some time, and I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Life has a way of changing our plans when we least expect it. With the loss of my mom, I found myself needing time to simply be present with my grief. Some experiences cannot be rushed, and healing is not something we can place on a schedule.

As difficult as this season has been, it has also reminded me of something I have always believed deep in my heart: timing is everything.

There are moments in life when doors quietly close and others begin to open. Sometimes those changes arrive gently, and sometimes they seem to appear all at once. We may not always understand why things happen when they do, but I believe the Universe has a way of guiding us exactly where we need to be, even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

Our instinct is often to resist change because it can feel uncomfortable, uncertain, or even frightening. Yet I have found that the more we fight against the current, the more exhausted we become. When we allow ourselves to move with the flow of life instead of constantly struggling against it, we often discover strength we didn’t know we possessed.

That doesn’t mean we ignore our feelings. It doesn’t mean we pretend everything is fine when our hearts are hurting. It simply means we acknowledge where we are, honor what we’re experiencing, and trust that each step forward—no matter how small—is still progress.

During times of transition, we don’t have to carry everything alone. The support of family and friends can lift us when we feel weighed down. The unconditional love and comfort of our pets can remind us that healing sometimes comes through the quietest moments. And perhaps most importantly, we can learn to trust the resilience that already lives within us.

Balance doesn’t mean never feeling sadness. It means allowing ourselves to experience every emotion while continuing to nurture hope, kindness, and purpose. It means giving ourselves permission to rest when we need to and finding the courage to pursue our dreams when we’re ready.

As I begin finding my rhythm again, I look forward to sharing more reflections, insights, and moments of inspiration with all of you. Thank you for allowing me the space to heal and for continuing to walk this journey beside me.

No matter what season of life you find yourself in today, may you remember to be gentle with yourself. Trust the timing of your journey, embrace the changes that come your way, lean on those who love you, and never lose sight of the light that continues to shine within you.

Until next time, stay grounded, stay open to life’s unfolding path, and keep creating a little magic wherever you go.

  • Finding What Resonates

Life has a way of presenting us with challenges, stresses, worries, and moments when we simply need comfort and peace. When those moments arise, one of the most valuable things we can do is discover what truly helps us find our balance again.

The interesting thing is that there is no universal answer.

What soothes one person may do absolutely nothing for someone else. One person may find peace sitting quietly beside a lake, while another finds relief through music. Some people feel grounded through meditation or Reiki, while others find comfort in gardening, taking a warm bath, walking with their dog, reading a good book, spending time with loved ones, or simply sitting outside and listening to the birds sing.

The truth is that we are all unique, and our paths to healing, relaxation, and inner peace are unique as well.

Sometimes we spend so much time searching for the “right” answer that we overlook the fact that the best answer is often the one that works for us personally. Just because a particular technique, practice, or method helps someone else does not mean it will resonate with you. Likewise, something that brings you tremendous comfort may not be the right fit for another person.

    And that is perfectly okay.

The challenge is that we often don’t know what works until we are willing to explore and experiment. We may try breathing exercises, meditation, energy work, journaling, nature walks, creative hobbies, prayer, music, movement, or countless other practices before we find something that truly speaks to our hearts.

    Every experience teaches us something.

Sometimes we discover what works. Sometimes we discover what doesn’t. Both are valuable pieces of information that help guide us toward what we need.

There is something incredibly empowering about finding a practice, activity, or tool that resonates deeply within us. It feels like coming home. We begin to notice that our shoulders relax. Our breathing becomes easier. Our minds quiet down. Our spirits feel lighter. We start to recognize that we have found something that helps us reconnect with ourselves.

    Those moments are worth celebrating.

Whether your path includes Reiki, meditation, prayer, music, nature, exercise, creativity, warm baths, deep breathing, or something entirely different, there is no need to compare your journey to anyone else’s. Your healing journey belongs to you.

    Give yourself permission to explore.

Give yourself permission to be curious.

Give yourself permission to discover what nourishes your mind, body, and spirit.

Most importantly, give yourself permission to embrace whatever works for you without judgment.

Because in the end, the best practice, the best technique, and the best form of self-care is the one that helps you feel more centered, more peaceful, and more connected to who you truly are.

May you continue to explore, discover, and embrace the things that bring comfort to your soul.

    Blessings,

    Tammy

  • Beneath the Full Moon’s Light

As we move toward the close of this week, we are also approaching something quite special in the night sky — a second full moon within the month of May, arriving this Sunday. Full moons have long been associated with heightened energy, illumination, release, and spiritual awareness. When we experience an additional full moon within a month, many people find the energy feels even stronger, more emotional, and deeply transformative.

This is a beautiful opportunity to pause and check in with ourselves.

By the end of the week, many of us are carrying stress, unfinished thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or simply exhaustion from the constant pace of life. The energy surrounding a full moon can magnify all of that. You may notice difficulty sleeping, increased sensitivity, vivid dreams, emotional ups and downs, or a strong desire to retreat inward and recharge. Rather than resisting that energy, this weekend invites us to work with it gently and intentionally.

The full moon is often seen as a time of completion and release. It shines a light on what no longer serves us and encourages us to let go of what we have been carrying unnecessarily. As we prepare to enter a new week, this is a wonderful time to wrap up loose ends, clear emotional clutter, and create space for renewal.

Here are a few gentle ways to care for your energy during this powerful time:

    • Spend a few quiet moments in meditation or prayer. Even five minutes of stillness can help calm the mind and restore balance.

    • Ground yourself in nature if possible. Sit outside, walk barefoot in the grass, listen to the birds, or simply breathe in the evening air.

    • Stay hydrated and nourish your body with rest and healthy foods. Our physical bodies often feel energetic shifts too.

    • Journal about what you are ready to release and what you hope to welcome into your life moving forward.

    • Protect your peace. Limit negativity, overstimulation, and anything that leaves you feeling emotionally drained.

    • Cleanse your space energetically in whatever way feels meaningful to you — Reiki, prayer, soft music, candles, crystals, incense, or simply opening the windows and letting fresh air move through your home.

Most importantly, give yourself permission to rest.

The end of the week is not only about finishing tasks. It is also about resetting our mind, body, and spirit so we can move into the next chapter feeling lighter and more centered. Rest is not laziness. It is restoration. It is healing. It is necessary.

As this beautiful full moon rises on Sunday evening, may it remind us to slow down, breathe deeply, release what weighs heavy on our hearts, and welcome renewed peace, clarity, and strength.

Wishing you a restful weekend filled with comfort, reflection, and gentle healing light.

  • Mother’s Day Message: Love, Energy, and Care

Mother’s Day is a beautiful reminder of the love, strength, nurturing, and quiet sacrifices that mothers carry every single day. Whether we are celebrating our own mothers, remembering them, honoring mother figures in our lives, or embracing the journey of motherhood ourselves, this weekend is an opportunity to pause and hold space for gratitude and love.

Mothers spend so much of their lives caring for others that they often forget to care for themselves. They pour energy into comforting, encouraging, guiding, protecting, and healing the people they love. But even the strongest and most loving souls need rest, support, and moments of peace.

This Mother’s Day, give yourself permission to slow down. Take a deep breath. Step outside and feel the warmth of the sun, listen to the birds singing, enjoy a quiet cup of coffee or tea, or simply place your hand over your heart and acknowledge everything you have carried with love and grace.

Energy self-care is not selfish. It is necessary.

When we allow ourselves time to recharge emotionally, spiritually, and physically, we are better able to continue showing up for the people we love while still honoring ourselves. Reiki, meditation, grounding, quiet reflection, and moments of stillness can help restore balance and remind us that our own hearts deserve the same compassion we so freely give to others.

To every mother, grandmother, stepmother, foster mother, caregiver, fur baby mom, and nurturing soul — may you feel appreciated, supported, and deeply loved this Mother’s Day weekend.

And to those who may find this holiday difficult because of loss, distance, grief, or complicated emotions, may you also be surrounded with comfort, healing, and gentle peace.

From all of us at Inner Sight Reiki & Meditation, we wish you a blessed Mother’s Day filled with love, light, healing energy, and meaningful moments with those who matter most.

Take time to care for your energy this weekend. Your spirit deserves it too.

  • Listening to the Messages Around Us

    Friday, May 1, 2026

Good afternoon and blessed Friday to you all.

Today brings us not only to the end of another week, but also to the energy of the full moon and the celebration of Beltane — a sacred time of renewal, awakening, growth, passion, and connection to the Earth and spirit. It is a beautiful reminder that we are always surrounded by energy, wisdom, and signs if we simply slow down enough to notice them.

Today, let us focus on grounding ourselves, centering our thoughts, and becoming more aware of the energy surrounding us.

Sometimes the voices we hear inside our minds feel like our own thoughts and inner reflections. Other times, deep within ourselves, we recognize something more. We may feel guidance from spirit, intuition, ancestors, loved ones who have crossed over, or simply the gentle wisdom of the universe speaking quietly to our hearts. No matter what your personal beliefs may be, I think many of us experience moments where something speaks to us beyond ordinary thought.

Perhaps it comes through a feeling.

Perhaps it comes through a memory.

Perhaps it comes through a song that suddenly plays at exactly the right moment.

Today, I encourage you to listen carefully and remain open to awareness.

Listen to the birds outside your window. Listen to the wind moving through the trees. Pay attention to the music playing through your radio, your Echo device, your HomePod, your phone, or whatever technology brings sound into your life. Sometimes the words we hear carry messages we did not even realize we needed.

Music has a way of touching the soul when ordinary words cannot.

Nature has a way of calming the spirit when life feels overwhelming.

And intuition has a way of guiding us when we are willing to trust it.

On this full moon and Beltane day, allow yourself to stand strong in the belief that the universe is watching over you, protecting you, guiding you, and surrounding you with love and light — whenever, wherever, and however you may need it most.

Take a moment today to breathe deeply, ground yourself, and simply listen.

The messages are often already there waiting for us.

Blessings, peace, and gentle energy to you all this Friday.

✨ Reiki and guided meditation services are available virtually or in person for both people and animals.

And of course… don’t forget the iced coffee if your spirit needs a little extra grounding today. ☕❄️

  • Finding Balance in the Midst of Life’s Chaos

Good morning, and happy Friday, April 24 ✨

There are times in life when balance feels just out of reach. When everything seems to pile up at once—physically, emotionally, and energetically—it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, and unsure of where to begin. If you’ve found yourself in that space lately, you are certainly not alone.

The truth is, finding balance isn’t always easy. In fact, sometimes it requires us to face something we don’t particularly enjoy admitting: we can’t do it all. And that’s okay.

We often put pressure on ourselves to meet every expectation, to keep every commitment, and to show up fully in every moment. But when we push beyond our limits, we begin to feel the weight of it—stress creeps in, frustration follows, and our energy becomes depleted. What starts as a busy day can quickly turn into emotional and physical exhaustion.

When that happens, one of the most powerful things you can do is pause.

    Take a breath.

    Then take another.

Give yourself permission to step back and gently reassess. Ask yourself what truly needs your energy right now—and what can wait. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is reorganize, reset, and create space where there once was overwhelm.

Balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about honoring your needs in the moment.

If something needs to be canceled, rescheduled, or adjusted, trust that there is a reason. Life has a way of unfolding exactly as it should, even when it doesn’t feel that way at first. The universe understands what we sometimes forget—we are human, and we need time to rest, recalibrate, and realign.

When you begin to feel overwhelmed, here are a few gentle ways to guide yourself back to center:

    • Pause and breathe deeply, even if only for a minute or two

    • Break tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces

    • Prioritize what truly matters and release what doesn’t

    • Give yourself grace instead of criticism

    • Create a simple, flexible plan instead of a rigid schedule

    • Take a short break to reset your energy—step outside, stretch, or sit in stillness

Most importantly, remind yourself that your worth is not measured by how much you accomplish in a day.

When you care for yourself physically and emotionally, your energy naturally begins to shift. You feel lighter, clearer, and more aligned—and from that place, balance becomes easier to find.

Today, allow yourself to breathe a little deeper.

Allow yourself to let go of the pressure to do it all.

And trust that by making small adjustments, you are creating space for more peace, more clarity, and more joy.

Wishing you a beautifully balanced Friday and a gentle reminder—sometimes the most important thing on your to-do list is simply to take care of you 💜

  • Clearing the Path: A New Moon Reset

Good morning, and welcome to this week’s Reflections.

Tonight brings us a beautiful new moon—a time of quiet renewal, fresh starts, and gentle transformation. It’s the perfect moment to pause, reset, and clear space for what is ready to enter your life.

So often, we find ourselves overwhelmed—not just by the clutter in our physical surroundings, but by the buildup in our minds and hearts. Thoughts, emotions, responsibilities… they all pile up. And when they do, our energy can feel heavy, our chakras may fall out of balance, and that inner clarity we rely on can begin to fade.

When our energy is clouded, it becomes harder to hear the subtle whispers of intuition. The messages from our spirit guides, the signs placed along our path—these can be missed when we are too weighed down to notice them.

This week, let’s gently return to ourselves.

Take time to clear your space—open a window, let fresh air move through, light a candle if that feels right to you. As you cleanse your environment, also turn inward and cleanse your energy. Even a few quiet moments of stillness can begin to shift everything.

    Sit with yourself. Breathe. Listen.

That inner voice—the one that speaks softly but truthfully—is always there. It knows the next step on your journey. It knows what you need for balance, for healing, for growth.

Under this new moon, give yourself permission to release what no longer serves you and create space for what does. Trust that what is meant for you will come, and that you are always being guided, even in the quiet moments.

This is your time to reset.

This is your time to realign.

This is your time to begin again.
