  • Beginning the Year with Mindfulness and Grace

Good morning and Happy New Year, dear friends.

As we step gently into 2026, I’ve been sitting with the themes that showed up in our Facebook posts over the past week: grounding, patience, honoring our pace, and remembering that healing is something we live every day, not something we “finish.”

We talked about how life moves in cycles. Some days seemed to stretch on forever, and others flew past before we could catch our breath. When we were children, many of us couldn’t wait to grow up — and now as adults, we sometimes miss that simple sense of wonder when the world felt magical, the moon looked huge, and possibilities felt endless.

The beautiful truth is that sense of wonder is still available to us. It lives in presence, in noticing, in slowing down just a bit.

This past week, we gently reminded ourselves to stay mindful as the year closed, to avoid rushing ahead or dragging behind, and to recognize every accomplishment — big or small — as part of our journey. We also talked about grounding into gratitude and finding joy in the little everyday things: quiet moments, good conversations, pets curled beside us, laughter, and yes… a favorite iced coffee to start the day.

Today brings a new year, but that doesn’t mean we have to reinvent ourselves overnight. Instead of resolutions fueled by pressure or perfection, what if we simply chose presence? What if this year we allowed ourselves more curiosity, more grace, and more compassion toward our own process?

When life feels fast or overwhelming, you can always come back to your breath, your body, and your inner wisdom. You can always come home to yourself.

If you’d like, take a moment today — maybe while enjoying that iced coffee — and gently ask yourself:

    • What do I want more of in my life this year?

    • What am I ready to release?

    • How can I honor my energy and my intuition?

    There are no wrong answers.

As always, I am honored to walk beside you in this new year through Reiki, guided meditation, energy work, and supportive conversation. My hope is that Inner Sight Reiki & Meditation continues to be a place where you feel welcomed, encouraged, and seen.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for showing up for yourself.

Here’s to a year of peace, renewed wonder, and staying grounded — iced coffee in hand.

    With warmth and Reiki blessings,

    Tammy

  • Christmas Day, a gentle check-in

As we arrive at Christmas Day, I’ve been thinking about the messages we’ve shared together over the past week — little reminders about grounding, gratitude, slowing down, staying connected, and being kind to ourselves. This season brings so much with it: joy, memories, emotions, busyness, and quiet moments in between. Through it all, we keep coming back to the same simple truth — pause, breathe, and be present with what is.

Over the past week, we’ve talked about small ways to brighten the world around us, even if it’s just through a smile, a kind word, or taking a peaceful moment for ourselves. We’ve honored the Solstice and New Moon energy, welcoming rest and renewal as we move through the darker days toward the returning light. And we’ve reminded one another that staying connected — even when life feels heavy — truly matters.

And yesterday, on Christmas Eve, we shared one of the most important reminders of all:

    Perfection is not required.

Your presence, love, and intention are enough.

So today, whether you’re surrounded by family, spending the day quietly, missing someone you love, or simply doing the best you can… I invite you to take a breath with me. Let your shoulders soften. Let your mind rest for just a moment. Reiki teaches us that peace starts within — and you deserve that peace.

Place a hand over your heart and remind yourself:

“I am doing enough. I am enough.”

From my heart to yours, I wish you a Christmas filled with gentle moments, meaning, warmth, and whatever kind of peace your spirit needs today. You are not alone on this journey, and the light within you is always there — even on the quietest days.

    With love and Christmas blessings,

Inner Sight Reiki & Meditation 💜✨

And as always… may your coffee — or iced coffee — be soothing and magical today ☕❄️💫

  • Early morning magic

It’s early as I’m writing this. The house is still quiet, the air feels chilly, and for just a little while longer, the world hasn’t started asking anything of me yet. These are the moments I’ve come to cherish—the calm before the activity begins. Before feeding the dogs, before errands and grocery lists, before the rhythm of the day fully takes over.

There’s something sacred about this time of morning. The stillness feels grounding, especially during a season that can feel busy, loud, and full. December has a way of moving quickly, but in these quiet moments, time seems to soften. I find myself breathing a little deeper, settling into gratitude, and reconnecting with my own center.

This week feels especially meaningful as we approach the Winter Solstice, a time that invites rest, reflection, and honoring the cycles of light and dark. The solstice reminds us that even in the deepest darkness, light is already beginning to return. We don’t have to rush or push—sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply be present with where we are.

Adding to this energy is the New Moon arriving tomorrow, offering a gentle opportunity to release what no longer serves us and quietly set intentions for what we wish to nurture moving forward. New Moons don’t ask for grand declarations—they ask for honesty, softness, and trust. Even a whispered intention held in the heart is enough.

This past week, I’ve also been reflecting on how important it is to create small pockets of peace wherever we can find them. They don’t have to be long or elaborate. Sometimes it’s sitting with a warm cup of coffee, listening to the quiet, and allowing your nervous system to rest. Reiki teaches us that balance doesn’t come from forcing stillness—it comes from allowing it.

The holiday season can stir many emotions. Joy, nostalgia, gratitude, and sometimes a bit of overwhelm all find their way in. I’ve been especially mindful of honoring our ancestors and loved ones during this time, holding space for the connections that continue to guide us, even when they’re no longer physically present.

I’ve also been thinking a lot about healing as a gift—not just something we give to others, but something we allow ourselves to receive. Whether it’s Reiki, rest, hydration, or simply saying “no” when needed, these gentle acts of self-care help us stay grounded as the year begins to wind down.

As the morning slowly wakes up around me, I’m reminded that we don’t need to rush to meet the day. We can greet it gently. One breath at a time. One moment of awareness at a time.

Thank you for being here and for sharing this space with me. Reflections are offered here every Thursday, and your thoughts, comments, and shared experiences are always welcome.

Until next week, may you find comfort in the quiet, peace in the pauses, and light returning in its own perfect time.

    With gratitude,

    Tammy

☕ And yes—once the house is awake and the day is moving, there will absolutely be iced coffee… even on a chilly December morning.

  • Grounding and gratitude

Finding Steady Ground in a Busy Season

This week I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to get swept up in the pace of December. Between plans, emotions, memories, and the general swirl of the season, it can feel like we’re juggling more than we realize.

I’ve had my own moments recently where things felt a bit heavier than usual, and it reminded me how important it is to slow down and check in with ourselves. Not in a big, dramatic way — just in those small pauses that help us feel grounded again.

    Little Moments Matter

Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting still for a minute, taking a few steady breaths, or practicing a short meditation before the day really gets moving. Those tiny choices can shift everything. They make the busy days feel a little more manageable and the emotional days a little less sharp.

Gratitude in the Middle of It All

Even on the weeks that feel a little off, gratitude has a way of showing up — in a kind word, a peaceful moment, or yes, in that trusty morning coffee followed by the iced one that finishes the day just right.

It’s often the small things that help bring us back to center.

    Moving Into the Week Ahead

As we head into the next week, my intention is to stay present, keep things simple, and give myself permission to breathe a little deeper. I hope you give yourself that same space — just a few moments that are fully yours.

And before you head off into the rest of your day: I’ll be sharing these posts here every Thursday — a weekly little nook of calm where we can breathe, reflect, and reconnect. I’d truly love to hear your thoughts and your heart’s whispers in the comments. Your stories, your insights, and even your iced-coffee musings are welcome — spirit speaks in many ways, after all!

Welcome to Inner Sight Reiki & Meditation

Thank you for visiting my new online space. My name is Tammy Robbins, and I am honored to share my Reiki and meditation practice with you. This blog will be a place for gentle reflections, energy insights, guided breathing moments, and reminders to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

As we move through this beautiful holiday season, with Thanksgiving behind us and the glow of the full moon illuminating Thursday, December 4, it’s a wonderful time to pause, breathe, and reflect. Yule and Christmas are just around the corner, bringing light, warmth, and celebration into our lives. This is a perfect moment to honor yourself, your loved ones, and the quiet power of the season—whether through meditation, Reiki, or simply noticing the beauty of the world around you.

During this busy time, I’m especially grateful for my family and my dogs, who bring laughter, comfort, and grounding to each day. Their presence reminds me to slow down, notice the small joys, and stay connected to what truly matters.

For a little glimpse into my daily routine: I always start my mornings with a hot cup of coffee, and then, without fail, I enjoy a refreshing iced coffee. It’s a small ritual that brings a little joy, clarity, and grounding to my day—and now you know one of my favorite little pleasures too!

    Full Moon & Yule Reflection

This full moon is a wonderful time to set intentions, release what no longer serves you, and welcome new light into your life. As Yule approaches, consider creating a simple ritual to honor the returning light: a short meditation, lighting a candle, journaling your intentions, or simply pausing to notice gratitude in your day.

Take a few moments for yourself, breathe deeply, and allow this season to bring warmth, joy, and peace into your heart.

    With gratitude,

    Tammy
